Ok, This is very fun if you have any questions PM me.
CREDIT:NOVA (from CRW forum)
ok so by now almost all guys at CRW, TIZ, and NMZ are pretty tired of telling noobs over and over asking OMFG HOW DO I GET THIS GAME IT IS SOO0O0O0O0O AWSEOME WHERE DU I GET THIS LIKE EMAIL IT TO ME AT ROBBLE_ROBBLE@ROBBLE.COM!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!! well this only happens because when we make tutorials we make them quick and fast with little to no detail so iam making this tutorial to end all tutorials... in this iam gonna go into every single detail including pictures, and soon a video tutorial. so here it is
1. ok first thing you need is the PJ64 emulator which could be obtained at www.PJ64.net
i would prefer you get version 1.5 as that is the one that i am using.
-----------------------------------
2.) now you need to get the rice plugin from here
www.alanchisholm.pwp.blueyonder.co.uk/Videoplugins.zip
i really don't know if this link still works
(got this link from the TNA v.s. ROH save readme Credit: alchaniz and everyone who helped make the save)
so if this doesnt work try and download a no mercy save they usually come complete with the plugins and the emulator and everything
for ex. (the forever indy save, the ECW save)
-----------------------------------
3.) now all you really would need is the no mercy rom which you can find on google simply by typing no mercy rom. or searching for emulator/rom sites. i really dont know if its ok to mention any rom sites but i guess you can do the math just by what i described above.
4.) now if you can't get a hold of the save or you just wanna take the long hard way... heres what you do...
-----------------------------------
A. Open your PJ64 (the emulator).
B. click Options (at the top of the emulator)
******************
******************
C.)now when you click it you should see a drop down menu like this one
******************
******************
D.) now on this drop down click the selection that says settings
******************
******************
E.) now the settings screen should look like the picture shown below. click the plugins tab
(already there by default) and follow the directions in the picture
******************
******************
F.)now after you are done changing the video plugin click the options tab at the top of the settings screen and follow the steps in the picture below.
******************
******************
G.) now after you finish doing the above click ok. once you do that repeat step D now instead of the settings screen looking the way it did in step E it should now look like this
******************
******************
H.) if so then we are on the right track. you can close the settings screen now.
now we repeat step D again. except this time instead of clicking the settings tab click
the tab called "Configure Graphics Plugin" when you click that screen it should be on the general options tab by default. if not click that tab and also follow the directions show in the picture below
******************
******************
I.) after unchecking hide advanced settings on the general options tab click the texture filters tab
and do the steps shown in the picture below
******************
NOTE: if you click general textures and it says unable to edit settings you must stop the rom by
pressing F12 and trying it again
******************
******************
J.)ok we are now pretty much done messing with the PJ64 and we are at the final parts.
now we have to go to the main PJ64 folder (where you PJ64 is installed) and look for the
folder named "plugin" (without the " ")
******************
NOTE: by default the your PJ64 should be installed in C:\Program Files\PJ64
******************
******************
K.) now this step is very important. open up the plugin folder and within that folder
right click and make a new folder called "hires_texture" (without " then make
another folder called "texture_dump" (without " ")
******************
NOTE: it is very important that you name the folders exactly as they are written above.
if they are spelled incorrectly the textures you plan to use will not load.
******************
******************
L.) now go into the hires_texture folder and make a new folder inside it called
"WWF No Mercy" (spelled exactly as shown without " ") after making the
WWF No Mercy folder, do the same in the texture_dump folder.
******************
******************
M.) after making a WWF No Mercy folder in both the hires_texture and texture_dump
folders then we are done. you have succesfully made you PJ64 ready to use textures
but now in order to use textures that you have either made or downloaded, you must put
the textures inside the WWF No Mercy folder within the hires_texture folder. like shown in
the picture below.
******************
******************
NOTE: PUT TEXTURES IN THE HIRES_TEXTURE FOLDER ONLY
TEXTURES IN THE TEXTURE_DUMP FOLDER WILL NOT LOAD!
******************
ok now we are done i hope this helped. and if it didnt you must be really
dumb.
*********************
TROUBLESHOOTING
*********************
if you load the game and everything looks like rainbows and everything looks
all screwy and really f**ked up then mabey the emulator doesnt run good when
played on DirectX (default) so heres what you do.
1. repeat step D but go into the "configure Graphics Plugin" instead of settings.
now click the general options tab (already there by defalut but if not click there)
at the first drop down selection (the one that says render engine change it
from DirectX (default) to OpenGL.
*********************
*********************
now try running no mercy again. the game should run good now. my computer
cannot play no mercy on DirectX so i play on OpenGL. if you play on OpenGL
and the game is playing very choppy and laggy then press ESC this makes the
game run in full screen mode. that should stop the lagging and choppiness.
but if you play on OpenGL and the screen is completely black but you can hear
everything. that means that your video card can't play on OpenGL either and then
theres 2 reasons why it does this
1. either your video card is really old.
2. or your video card is beat down to the fullest and it just can't play no mercy.
i hope that this tutorial really helped. i havent contributed much to the NM comunity
but i gues this will make up for it. and by the way if you wanna post this tutorial anywhere
please credit me first. thanks.
